Born in Sesimbra (Portugal), on October 6, 1966, I have been photographing as an amateur photographer since 2003. This was the year when I made my first photographic works with the full conscience of being at the beginning of a journey of discovery of an art that I have embraced with passion and to which I have committed myself with full dedication.

Being raised in a Village deeply connected to the Ocean, Seascapes and other aspects of life in the sea inevitably became the most frequent themes of my work and source of inspiration. However, it is my intention as a photographer, to present my work not only as a mirror of things that inspire me, but also as a way of showing to others a view of the World through my eyes. Visions of other horizons through my perspective.

I have chosen black and white as the ideal way of presenting my work, although I also occasionally shoot in colour.

I capture my images using digital equipment (Canon 350D) and also analogue in Medium Format ( Bronica-SQA)
